Q. A roofer is using Fungicidal Wash on a roof where the downpipe is connected to a water butt. Should he disconnect the downpipe before he starts and is there any particular length of time he need to leave before re-connecting?

A. Yes he must disconnect the pipe and so long as the roof has been thoroughly washed off he can connect as soon as this is done.
